Happy/Sad Dollars

Doug is happy about the start of baseball season and paid a dollar to share that with the group.

Dave G. dropped in a happy dollar leaving him $199 from the Master's golf tournament pool he won over the weekend.

Dave M. paid a happy and a sad dollar.  Happy because tax season is pretty much over and sad because he's going to miss lunch the next two weeks; he has to go to Hawaii -- poor Dave.

Brian put in a sad dollar because he is attending his brother's wedding in Texas this weekend and will have to miss the 50th anniversary dinner on Saturday night.  He then added another dollar because he had to leave early.

Dale is sad he is going to miss the next meeting do to his roto-rootering "down below."

Fenton put in a sad dollar because he got "the" letter from San Jose Medical Group stating his personal info may have been in one of the computers stolen from their facility a few weeks back.  Welcome to my world, Fenton. Hope he followed their advice and put in a fraud alert.

Out 'n About

Elsie and Don went to Reno and/or Laughlin depending on which of them was telling the story.  Elsie rolled the dice and paid a $20 fine; Don rolled next and ended up with only a penalty of $10.

Nick took another trip to Chuckchansi.  He rolled the dice, got 2 aces and avoided any fine at all.  Unfortunately, 2 aces means everyone else puts in a dollar.  Wonder if he was that lucky at the casino.

Thought Of The Week

More than what we are, it's what we do.

Speaker

Today's scheduled speaker rescheduled for late May so Dave G. jumped in and filled the time sharing the latest information on insurance.

Guests

Today Brian brought another member of the Wells Fargo team, Dave Spence.

Have You Heard The One About.......???

For years the old rooster had ruled the farm, but lately things weren't quite right. Fewer chicks were being born and so the farmer decided the bird was past its best and bought a new, young, strapping rooster to replace him.

The old rooster was mad at this newcomers introduction and was determined not to give up without a fight. He challenged the young rooster to a 3-lap race of the yard.

"Ok, you're on!" said the youngster. "I can outrun you any day of the week."

"If you're so confident," replied the old timer, "you won't mind giving me a head start."

"Fair enough, you can have a half-lap start. But I'll still beat you."

The race began with the old rooster being hotly pursued by the younger rival. On hearing all the commotion, the farmer rushed into the barn and on seeing the roosters, picked up his shotgun and shot the young bird dead.

"Damn it," groaned the farmer, "that's the third gay rooster I've bought this month..."
