Speaker
Richard presented a short program today on the topic of photography and he showed off some of the pictures in his portfolio.
Guests
We were joined this afternoon by Lt. Gov., Lainie Wheeler. Our incoming Lt. Gov. was supposed to be with us as well, but he never showed up.
A Little Knowledge Goes A Long Way
Prez Dave decided to test the knowledge of our members by asking them questions about others in the group. He asked Elsie the nickname that Dave M. hates with a passion. She didn't know and had to pay a fine of $1. The answer is "Mac"
Next Bruce was queried about the name of the town Don grew up in. Everyone, I think, knows that one, including Bruce. Answer - Pescadero.
Pete Pavlina knew what Fenton grows in Ripon - olives.
It cost Doug, Don, Steve and Hal each a buck because they didn't know the answers to their questions. They are that Ann's husbands name is Frank, that Bruce used to work in an envelope manufacturing plant, that the founding member in attendance today was Pete (not fair as that was Hal's question and he's only been with us 2 weeks) and that the event Richard has taken pics at for 3 years in a row but can't show at the meeting is the Exotic/Erotic Ball.
Joker - Joker
Isn't that the way? He comes to meetings once in a blue moon, buys one lousy ticket when he does, manages to get that ticket drawn and then ends up choosing the Joker. Un-beeleivable! The good news is that today's big winner, Pete, gave back $560 of his $650 win to secure a foursome in the upcoming golf tournament.
Prizes Needed
It's that time again. We need as many prizes for the golf tournament raffle as possible. If you have anything to donate please let Dave G. know. Also, if you have a great idea for a prize, please don't be afraid to solicit.
Have You Heard The One About??????
A man walked over to the perfume counter and told the clerk he'd like a bottle of Chanel No. 5 for his wife's birthday.
"A little surprise, eh?" smiled the clerk.
"You bet," answered the customer. "She's expecting a cruise."

Happy/Sad Dollars
Doug tossed in a happy dollar because he was able to attend the last two A's games and they won them both.
Pete paid 2 happy dollars for his new hip and the 50th anniversary of his lung cancer survivorship.
Dave added a happy dollar for no particular reason.
Richard added 2 happy bucks for a class he took on Saturday that he couldn't go into details about (believe me, you don't wanna know.)
Lainie was sad that Lt. Gov.-elect, Glen, hadn't shown up as planned, but happy to be leaving tonight for the convention in Fresno, so she put in $2.
Dave G. was happy about his recent game at Quail Lodge.
Happy Birthday
Today was Richards' birthday
and he was serenaded by the
entire group. Does this mean his "birthday weekend" is now officially over? It's been a long 4 days!
Miscellaneous Fines
Dave G. misplaced his cell phone and it was confiscated and held for ransom (by Elsie of all people.) He paid a $3 fine to get it back.
Quote Of The Week
"The best way to remember a loved one's birthday is to forget it just once."
