Speaker

Today's program was presented by April
Scott, Principal of Monta Vista High School.

From her program we learned that Monta Vista has 2,467 students
of which 67% are Asian, 27% Caucasian and 82% continue on to
college. It is ranked #57th in the top 100 schools
                      in the U.S.

                                         Go Matadors!

Miscellanous Happenings

Congrats to Don on winning today's Hallmark Greeting Card contest for having written the best Valentine sentiment.  His prize was the use of the fine-free badge for his upcoming anniversary.  The badge does not extend to his lovely wife, Elsie, so she will have to pay a price for having stayed married to Don lo these many years.

Prez Anne has decreed that February 28th will be Bring A Book To Exchange Day.  Everyone is encouraged to bring in a book to trade with another member.

On a sad note, President-elect, Clark, has decided that due to his health situation he will be unable to take on the role of President next year.  Art has volunteered to step into that spot in his place.  Doug has agreed to take over Art's role as secretary and Anne will become the interclub chair.

Ray brought in some prizes to be raffled off this afternoon (for no particular reason).  Nick and Chuck each won one and Richard came away with two.

Joker - Joker

Fenton claimed $8 from the pot this week.

Have You Heard The One About...................?????

One morning a mother was trying to wake up her son. "Wake up now! It's time to go to school."

"I don't want to go to school," the son replied.

His mother said, "Give me two reasons why you don't want to go to school."

"Okay. One, all the children hate me. Two, all the teachers hate me."

"Not good enough," the mother replied.

"Fine," the son said. "Then you give me two good reasons why I SHOULD go to school."

"One, you're 50 years old. Two, you're the principal."

Happy/Sad Dollars

Fenton produced a dollar and announced he's quite happy with the new Medicare Part B prescription plan.  Winkie had been spending $500-$600 monthly for prescriptions and now those same medications cost only $122!

Jim had a sad dollar related to Oregon & Cal.

Chuck, on the other hand, had a happy one because Cal beat Stanford.

Out 'n About

Benny returned from a 9 day sojourn to LA
and paid a fine of $8.

Total K Day

Happy Anniversary
