Speaker

Our program today was on San Jose State's sports program.

Guests

One guest, Doc, visited this afternoon.

Substitute President

Since Prez Art was not with us today, Dave G. filled in.  He gave the group a World Series trivia challenge, fining those who missed their questions $1.  Richard, who's never watched a sporting event in his life, had his buck out before his question was even asked.

Note - Dave received his distinguised President award at last weeks meeting.  Congratulations to him!

Joker-Joker

Doc won today and collected $2.

Have You Heard The One About.....................????

Steve's barn burned down. Julie, his wife, called the insurance company and said, "We had that barn insured for fifty thousand and I want my money."

"Whoa there, just a minute, Julie, it doesn't work like that. We will assess the value of the building and provide you with a new one of comparable worth." the agent replied.

Julie, after a pause, said, "I'd like to cancel the policy on my husband."

Two Happy Brides

Carole Pavlina and Ginnie Arbuckle were two
happy, happy brides when they married Richard
(33 years ago) and Doug (60 years ago.)
Richard paid a $12 fine and Doug happily forked
over $60 for his 60 years.

Happy/Sad Dollars

Chuck was happy to add a dollar because Cal beat Oregon State.  Ray put in his dollar, but sadly, because Cal beat Oregon State. As the two of them had bet on the outcome of the game, Chuck offering to bring everyone in the club California gold if Cal lost and Ray promising Oregon rain if Oregon lost, each member in attendance received a bottle of Oregon Rain Water suitable for consumption.

Out 'n About

Richard made his bi-monthly pilgramage to Vegas to see baby Katie.  He won a little money and paid a fine of $12.

Doug traveled, fine-free badge in hand, to Norway and Scotland.  Then, he bid on and won the badge again for October.
